This policy explains how bets placed on DesiBet are settled (graded as win/loss/void) and under what circumstances they may be cancelled. By placing a bet, you agree to the following rules.
All bets are settled based on the official result provided by the recognized match organizer or governing body.
Results announced immediately after the match are considered final for settlement purposes, even if later corrected or adjusted.
Settlement will occur as soon as official results are confirmed, typically within 24 hours after the match ends.
A bet is valid only when successfully registered and confirmed in the DesiBet system.
Once confirmed, bets cannot be cancelled by the user.
Bets placed after a match has officially started will be voided (except in live/in-play betting, if introduced later).
If a grassroots football match is cancelled or postponed and not played within 48 hours, all bets on that match will be voided and stakes refunded.
If the match is rescheduled within 48 hours, bets remain valid.
If a match is abandoned after kickoff, bets will be settled based on the official ruling of the organizing body:
If the result is declared official, bets stand.
If the match is declared void or replayed, bets will be cancelled and stakes refunded.
In rare cases of technical/system errors (e.g., incorrect odds, wrong settlement), DesiBet reserves the right to:
Correct the settlement to the accurate result, or
Void the affected bet and refund the stake.
Only the stake amount is refunded in such cases, not potential winnings.
For specific grassroots markets (e.g., local cup finals, penalty shootouts, extra time), settlement rules will be clearly stated before betting.
Unless otherwise specified, bets are settled on regular time (90 minutes), excluding extra time and penalties.
A voided bet means the stake is returned to the user’s betting wallet.
If a voided bet is part of a multi-bet/accumulator, it will be settled as 1.0 odds (neutral), and the rest of the bet stands.
Bets suspected of being linked to match-fixing, insider activity, or fraudulent behavior may be suspended or cancelled.
In such cases, winnings may be withheld, and accounts may be restricted or closed.
DesiBet’s settlement decisions are final, subject to compliance with Ogun State Inland Revenue Service (OGIRS) betting regulations.
In case of disputes, users may escalate complaints to OGIRS if unresolved through DesiBet support.
